Venue and Scrutineering Details

- The track is a bitumen topped track,
with bends in both directions
- The track width varies from 6 metres
to 3 metres.
The track may have a slight incline and a decline.
- The track may have varying light
conditions at night, from floodlights to complete
darkness in some sections.
Organisers reserve the right to change
the venue at any time.
- Each team will be allocated a rider
change area , and pits area , each 2.8 metres long by 2
metres wide x 10 metres deep.
(This may change due to a change in venue.)
- Pit spaces are mostly (but not always)
adjoining rider change areas.
- Requests for particular rider change
and pit locations will be considered, if made prior to
the event in writing.
- Rider change and pit locations not
allocated before the event can be booked at the Friday
`Scrutineering day.
- Teams must not set up any area in the
track infield other than their allocated space.
- One small tent, and / or a small
trailer per team will be permitted in the teams' pit
space for the purpose of storing tools, clothes, personal
possessions etc..
- No camping or cooking is permitted in
the pits area.
- The allocated pit area is for major
repairs, maintenance, or team management purposes. Minor
maintenance is permitted in the rider change area.
- A separate grassed camping area is
provided for teams outside the track proper.
- No vehicles may be left in the track
infield area without the express permission of event
organisers, and there will be no vehicle access to the
track during the event. Vehicle access to the infield
area will stop at 10.30 am Saturday.
- The pit area is illuminated at night,
but only to a minimal standard.
- Limited power is available to teams.
Contact event organisers for specific requests.
- Generators, if used, must be suitably
silenced so as not to unduly interfere with neighbouring
teams.
- A fire extinguisher must be in close
proximity to the generator at all times.
- A welding facility will be provided at
the venue, (supplied by B.O.C.Gases), comprising Manual
Metal Arc (Stick electrode), Gaseous Metal Arc (MIG),
oxy-acetylene welding and cutting equipment.
- Competitors must supply their own
consumables, hand tools and safety equipment.
- Welding will not be permitted outside
the welding area.
- Machining facilities may be provided
at the venue (supplied by F.W. Hercus), comprising lathe,
drill press, bench grinder, bench and vice and some
cutting tools.
- Competitors must supply their own hand
tools, drill bits, safety equipment etc..
- No repairs are to be carried out at a
site away from the venue.
- Saturday SCRUTINEERING is between 8am
and 11am., at the proposed venue.
- All teams are expected to attend the
Friday SCRUTINEERING unless prior permission is granted
by race organisers.
- Vehicles will not be allowed on the
track unless they have passed scrutineering, and have the
EEA Logo fixed to the vehicle
- All vehicles must be scrutineered to
compete in the event. Decisions of scrutineers are final.
